My Goal as a Christian Counselor
My goal as your counselor is to equip you with relevant coping tools based on your situation and provide customized support for your unique circumstances so you can experience the healing and positive change you desire. Ultimately, as a Christian counselor, I want to help people see and know where to find their true source of hope – in Jesus Christ.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a welcoming space for both believers and those who don’t want faith-based counseling. No matter who I work with, I treat each person with honor and respect. After hearing your story in our initial session, I will begin follow-up sessions with a brief check-in about how the past week went and address any concerns you raise. From there, we will continue working toward the treatment goals we have established for your growth, walking side-by-side, one step at a time.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
One benefit of a Christian approach to counseling is that you don’t have to rely on yourself, but you can gain strength through God. As a counselor, I have assurance in knowing that it is God’s wisdom that will help each person. I find that it is important to learn and know God’s characteristics to help us through our struggles. We can rest assured that God is unchanging, and what He promises will be the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow (Hebrews 13:8).
Qualifications & Experience
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the University of La Verne and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California State University, Riverside (CBU). I have 10 years of professional experience working with preschool children and their parents through the HeadStart program, crisis care, individual therapy, and military.
My Call to Christian Counseling
Growing up, I had a close family member who struggled with their mental health. I saw how it affected her and our family. In my early college years, I began to work at a church in the healing and caring department, where they offered pastoral counseling and a program for lay counseling.
I had a desire and a heart to help people as they walked through the doors. I saw how hurt people were, and I began to get comments that I was a good listener and that people enjoyed talking to me. I later went on a life-changing, two-week mission trip to Kenya and had the opportunity to build relationships with some students at an orphanage. They opened up and shared their stories. When I returned home, I enrolled in graduate school for counseling.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
I enjoy hiking, trying out new restaurants, and good coffee, and I love spending time with my family. I have a blast taking my son to the zoo, aquariums, and any new adventure we discover. I like a balance of spending time outdoors and comfy at home with a movie night.

Women’s Issues
I have a passion to help women through all stages of life. I come alongside women to help them see how God has uniquely made them and how to embrace the beauty in each phase of life. I enjoy helping women through their challenges, providing skills and tools as we discover how to align thoughts and emotions.
Spiritual Development
We all continue our spiritual development throughout our lives. I enjoy helping new believers navigate questions and their faith. I also enjoy supporting mature believers with issues that arise related to their relationship with God, or navigating how to respond to challenging or complex situations in a Christ-like manner.
Counseling for Parents
I have a passion for helping parents navigate their parenting journey. I come alongside parents not by trying to control their child’s challenging behaviors with tips and techniques, but by understanding the heart of the parent and child. Together we will seek effective ways to respond that result in true heart change.
Anxiety
In the world we are living in, anxiety can feel as if it is surrounding us wherever we go. As your counselor, I will help explore and bring awareness to how anxiety shows up and how it has affected you. Then we will explore how to respond and work through anxiety with helpful tools and thoughts. My goal is to help align anxiety with the truths of God’s Word so it doesn’t feel so big and overwhelming.
Relationship Issues
We have all been created to be in relationship with others. When the relationships in our lives have been disrupted, we can find ourselves lacking peace. I help people gain insights for personal healing and skills that will improve communication and conflict resolution.
